These bowls look like the prettiest most delicate seashells that you'd see on the beach. Pick them up though, and you discover that they are heavy stoneware, with a raw rough uncoloured body underneath, and a smooth inside, graduating from glazed to unglazed, and from green to uncoloured. The shape is irregular too, roughly oval. It's Wabi Sabi interpreted in France.
The soft green coordinates beautifully with the colours of the rest of our tableware, as to be expected, as they are all made in the same factory. With 170 years of expertise, Jars Céramistes tableware graces the tables of Michelin-starred restaurants, and this Japanese-influenced range recycles stoneware remnants, slips, water, and heat in its making.
Note that these bowls are made and coloured by hand, so there is a certain amount of variation between the bowls. Chip-resistant, dishwasher-proof, and microwaveable.
